I'm rapidly learning that mastering new technologies for marketing purposes is the easiest way to get freelance work at my age.
I can't believe that University doesn't teach any of this, nor why so many students aim so low when looking for part-time jobs.

talking about mastering new technologies, do you mean:
(1) learning new PR technologies (online marketing etc.) for the purpose of using them in your own work,
or (2) learning new INDUSTRIAL technologies (invented by your potential customer) for the purpose of selling your service to that customer?
Do you mean 1 or 2 ?
